Join Textile UK – Part of the Arcese Group
At Textile UK, we're more than a logistics provider. As part of the Arcese Group, one of Europe's leading integrated logistics operators, we help some of the world's best-known fashion, retail, and textile brands move products efficiently through their supply chains.
From warehousing and distribution to value-added logistics services, we deliver solutions that keep businesses moving. Our success is driven by our people, and we're committed to creating an environment where talented individuals can learn, develop, and build rewarding careers.
We're now looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Packing Operative to join our team in Tilbury on a three-month fixed-term contract. This temporary position has been created to support an increase in customer volumes, with a strong focus on packing orders accurately, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
The Role
As a Warehouse Packing Operative, your main responsibility will be preparing and packing customer orders safely, accurately, and on time. You will check products and order details, use the correct packaging materials, apply labels, and ensure every completed package meets customer and quality requirements before dispatch.
Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll help us manage a temporary increase in volume while maintaining excellent service levels for some of the world's leading fashion and retail brands. This is a hands-on role where care, pace, and attention to detail are equally important.
You may also support related warehouse activities when required, including picking items, moving goods safely, keeping packing stations organised, and preparing completed orders for dispatch.
Full training will be provided. Due to the nature of the customer products handled in this role, appointment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
Your Packing Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Packing customer orders carefully, accurately, and in line with packing instructions.
· Checking products, quantities, sizes, and order details before sealing each package.
· Inspecting items and packaging for damage, defects, or quality concerns and reporting any issues.
· Selecting and using the correct packaging materials to protect goods in transit.
· Labelling, scanning, and preparing completed packages for dispatch.
· Meeting agreed packing volumes and deadlines without compromising quality or accuracy.
· Keeping packing stations clean, organised, and stocked with the required materials.
· Following all process, security, manual-handling, and Health & Safety procedures.
· Supporting picking and other warehouse duties when required to meet operational demand.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, careful, and comfortable working at pace as part of a team.
You'll ideally have:
· Previous packing, warehouse, production, or fulfilment experience (preferred but not essential).
· Excellent attention to detail and a consistent approach to quality.
· The ability to work efficiently and meet volume targets while maintaining accuracy.
· Good manual dexterity and the ability to carry out repetitive packing tasks.
· Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
· The ability to follow written and verbal packing instructions.
· A positive, flexible approach and a commitment to safe working practices.
· Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse systems would be helpful, but full training will be provided.
Important Information
