DRIVER & DRIVER MATE POSITION – ENFIELD
Self-Employed Role | AIT Home Delivery | Strong Earning Potential
FDL Parcel Network is working with AIT Home Delivery and is looking for reliable 2-man delivery teams consisting of a Driver and Driver Mate.
This is a self-employed delivery role offering strong earning potential, low stop counts and long-term work.

Role Overview
- 2-man delivery service – Driver & Driver Mate
- Deliver larger items to residential and commercial addresses
- Average 20–29 stops per day
- Pay per stop: £15–£19, depending on distance and route
- Average daily revenue is typically £400+ per vehicle
- Working 5–6 days per week
- Early morning loading and route departure, around 7:00am
- Additional payments available for installation work
- Full training provided for deliveries and installation services
Route Information
Routes can vary from local London deliveries to longer-distance runs across the South of England.
- Daily mileage can range from approximately 50 to 250+ miles
- Some days are shorter and more local
- Other days involve longer-distance driving
- Depot management balances routes throughout the week to provide teams with a fair mix of easier and more demanding runs
Vehicle Requirements
- Low Loader Luton van required
- Van owners are welcome
- Rental options may be available for suitable applicants
Rental Van Option
If you do not have your own Low Loader Luton van, rental vehicles may be available.
- £330 per week
- Cost deducted directly from your earnings
- No upfront payment required
- Van stays with you 24/7
- Required insurance included
- Road tax included
- MOT included
- Servicing included
Rental Van Driver Requirements
To qualify for a rental van, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Hold a Full UK or EU driving licence for at least 1 year
- Have no more than 6 penalty points
Unfortunately, drivers with the following conviction codes cannot be accepted:
DR, TT, AC, BA, CD, DD, DG, MR, MS, UT, IN, LC

Driver Requirements
We're looking for drivers who have:
- Good customer service skills
- A professional and reliable approach
- The ability to work as part of a 2-man delivery team
- Previous delivery experience is beneficial
Driver Mate Information
Ideally, drivers should provide their own helper, such as:
- Friend
- Family member
- Existing work partner
- Experienced Driver Mate
The driver is responsible for agreeing payment directly with their Driver Mate.
Existing 2-man teams are welcome, but individual drivers looking to build a team may also be considered.
Payments
- Paid weekly
- Two weeks in arrears
- Self-employed position
- Self-billing system used
- No need to submit invoices
- Fast onboarding process
What You Need to Start
Before you begin, we will need the following documents:
- Passport, Birth Certificate or National ID
- UK/EU Driving Licence – front and back
- Proof of National Insurance number
- Proof of address dated within the last 3 months
- Right to Work share code, if applicable
- Own DBS certificate dated within the last 6 months
Once your documents have been approved, onboarding is usually quick and start dates can often be arranged within a few days.
