As our business grows with a thriving delivery network, we are looking for a reliable, professional Part-Time Van Driver to join our team.
The Role OverviewThis is a perfect role for someone looking for stable, predictable part-time hours. Working Mondays and Thursdays from 09:30 AM to 01:30 PM, you will handle essential mid-morning logistics transporting food, ingredients, and supplies smoothly between our production hubs and retail shops.
You will collect and return our van to our production hub in Sydenham SE26.
Key Responsibilities
- Inter-Shop & Hub Logistics: Transport fresh stock and supplies safely across our London locations to support our peak lunchtime services.
- Loading & Unloading: Manually load and unload the company delivery van, ensuring all food items are stacked securely to prevent damage.
- Order Verification: Double-check stock against delivery notes before departing to guarantee our shops receive accurate orders.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform quick daily pre-trip vehicle checks and maintain the absolute cleanliness of the commercial van to strict food safety standards.
- Brand Representation: Act as a polite, helpful ambassador for the M.Manze brand when interacting with shop teams and suppliers.
What We Look For
- Licence Requirements: A valid UK Category B (Standard Car) driving licence held for at least 2 years, with no more than 3 penalty points (no major motoring convictions).
- Experience: Proven experience as a professional van driver or delivery driver, with strong confidence navigating London's road networks.
- Physical Fitness: This is a physical role requiring regular lifting, loading, and carrying of catering crates and bulk food ingredients.
- Attributes: High punctuality, reliability, and an easygoing, team-focused attitude.
