Additional briefingThis is an opportunity to join London City Bond Limited (LCB) on a permanent basis following a trial period via Temper. We are looking for candidates who are interested in a long-term role, not short-term contract work.
You will be invited to a full induction and treated in the same way as colleagues employed directly by LCB. During your induction, you will be introduced to your management team and assigned a work buddy to support you as you settle in.
Full inhouse training will be provided, including training on how to operate all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) required for the role.
MHE used on site includes - Powered Pallet (PPT), Counter-balance, Order Picking and VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) trucks. You will not be asked to drive any MHE until fully trained.

THE ROLE
We are recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join our team at our River Road, Barking site on the Mid Shift.
This is a full-time role working 5 days per week, 45 hours per week. (Less 5 hours breaks – Unpaid).
Additional hours maybe available after the 45 hours.
KEY DUTIES
- Accurately picking and packing orders to meet deadlines
- Wrapping pallets of stock, with pallet machines available.
- Loading and unloading vehicles once in-house MHE training has been completed
- Receiving goods inwards and checking product lines and quantities
- Following instructions from Team Leaders, Supervisors and Managers
- Working safely and following our health and safety standards
ABOUT YOU
To be successful as a Warehouse Operative within LCB, you will need to be:
- Comfortable handling Wine and Spirits products
- Flexible and able to work the required shift pattern
- Physically fit and comfortable walking, standing, lifting, bending, pushing and pulling during a shift. Able to lift and move stock up to 20kg
- A good team player who can follow LCB processes and HMRC requirements
- Comfortable working at elevated levels and not afraid of heights
- Accurate and reliable, with a focus on meeting customer expectations and supporting ISO9001 and HMRC standards
- Committed to following health and safety policies, quality standards and safe working procedures
- Respectful, honest, flexible, hardworking and accountable
IMPORTANT:
1. This role will require you to undergo a DBS check performed by LCB during your induction shift. You must be comfortable with this.
2. This role requires you to have your own safety boots. If you do not wear them, you will be turned away.
3. Parking is available on site.
4. You will be expected and required to take a one hour break during your shift, which will be deducted from your total pay.

Contractors must comply with relevant health and safety requirements, quality standards, and safe working procedures while carrying out services on-site.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
