Duties
- Handle materials with care, ensuring safe and accurate movement throughout the warehouse
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order processing
- Prepare items for shipping and receiving by picking, packing, and labeling products efficiently
- Stock shelves and storage areas accurately to maintain organized inventory levels
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards before dispatch
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and ensure proper techniques are used to prevent injury
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and load/unload operations
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
