Responsibilities
- Safely handle materials by loading, unloading, and moving stock using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual tools.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, process shipments, and update stock records accurately.
- Pick and pack orders efficiently, ensuring correct items are prepared for dispatch in line with customer specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify product condition and identify any damages or discrepancies during receiving or shipping.
- Assist with stock replenishment by stocking shelves and organizing storage areas for optimal accessibility.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch, verifying shipment details, and coordinating with carriers.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to health and safety protocols to prevent injuries or accidents.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations with knowledge of materials handling techniques.
- Valid forklift certification and mechanical knowledge to operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure accurate documentation and timely dispatch.
- Hands-on experience in picking & packing, stocking, and quality control processes within a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during load & unload activities.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with a proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
