Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced same day courier Controller to join our successful brand. The role requires flexibility with hours, although predominantly between 0700 - 1900 in shifts Monday to Friday, strong communication skills, and is perfect for somebody to enhance our already established team of day controllers. Some weekends are available for overtime once suitable training has taken place. We are currently looking for at least one controller for either bikes or vans
Duties
- Despatch jobs to a team of bikes, cargo bikes, vans and/or a medical fleet
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist with queries on jobs with drivers
- Assist where necessary with inbound and outbound goods from the warehouse
- Be directly involved in end of day handover and prebookings for the next day
- Involvement in out of hours, not restricted to early starts, late finishes and weekend shifts would be welcome, albeit not compulsory
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years active control experience over a fleet in central London
- Experience in having been a delivery driver is preferred.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with central London routes and a through knowledge of Greater London and the Home Counties essential
- Previous experience of Metafour computer system a plus
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.
