Part-time Warehouse & Operations Assistant

We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented part-time assistants to support the day-to-day operations of a food business. The role involves document and order processing, packing and labelling food products, stock management, and fulfilment of online and offline orders.
We are recruiting several team members to work on an agreed rota. No previous experience is required, and training will be provided. Students and other applicants are welcome.
Job Responsibilities
- Document & Order Processing — Check and process online and offline orders, delivery notes and dispatch records accurately and promptly. Ensure goods are released against the correct order details and required documentation. Process returns and exchanges following company procedures, update order and inventory records, and respond to work communications promptly.
- Shipping & Logistics Execution — Arrange courier services, print shipping labels, and pick, pack and label food products according to order requirements and supplied instructions. Check items, quantities and packaging before dispatch, coordinate handover with couriers or customer collections, and track and report delivery issues.
- Inbound Goods Management — Receive deliveries and check products against delivery documents, including quantities, packaging condition, batch details and expiry or best-before dates where applicable. Photograph and report damaged goods, shortages or other discrepancies promptly. Organise products in their designated storage locations and follow specified food-handling and storage instructions.
- Stocktaking & Material Control — Carry out regular stock counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and report discrepancies promptly. Follow stock-rotation procedures and flag products approaching their expiry or best-before dates. Monitor packaging materials, labels and other consumables, and assist with replenishment requests and related records.
- On-site Management & General Collaboration — Maintain a clean, tidy and organised warehouse, following food-handling and hygiene procedures. Ensure the premises are secured after each shift. Receive and forward warehouse correspondence, coordinate with the owner and other team members, leave clear handover notes, and assist with related operational and administrative tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- A reliable, punctual and responsible approach to work.
- Willingness to learn and follow packing, labelling, hygiene and storage instructions carefully.
- Basic computer skills, including updating spreadsheets and order records.
- Ability to handle and move stock safely.
- Ability to work independently after training and report issues promptly.
- Regular availability and commitment to an agreed rota.
- Fluency in spoken Chinese is strongly preferred.
- Previous warehouse, food, retail or e-commerce experience is welcome but not required.
Hours & Pay
- Initially, approximately 8 working days per month in total, shared across the team through an agreed rota.
- Individual shifts, working dates and daily hours will be agreed in advance based on availability and workload.
- Working arrangements may be adjusted by agreement as workload changes.
- Hourly pay will be discussed during the interview.
- Training and handover will take place before December 2026. From December onwards, team members will be expected to handle routine warehouse operations independently, with remote support from the owner.
